We use official state DMV, BMV, RMV, MVD, DPS, and driver licensing agency websites as primary references. We summarize public information in our own words and link users to official sources for final confirmation.
How we research a state
For each state we support, we review the official driver handbook and the agency’s published pages on permits, testing, and graduated licensing. From those, we record the facts that matter for the written test, the number of questions, the score needed to pass, the minimum permit age, and the documents typically required, and we write original practice questions covering the same topics the handbook teaches.
Why we always link to the official source
Rules change, and the official agency is always the final authority. That is why every state page links directly to that state’s official handbook, scheduling or office locator, and permit-requirements pages. If anything on our site ever conflicts with the official source, follow the official source.
