One mixed test across the whole CDL
The written side of a Commercial Driver License is not a single exam but a set of tests: everyone takes General Knowledge, and you add endorsement tests for the vehicles and cargo you will handle. This combined practice test pulls from all of them at once, so you can see your overall readiness in one sitting instead of jumping between pages. It is the quickest way to find which areas need work before you commit to studying a specific endorsement.
How to use it
Start with the 25-question mix to warm up with instant explanations, then run the 50-question mix for broader coverage. When you are scoring well, switch to the exam simulator to rehearse under the timer. After each attempt, the results break your score down by endorsement, so you know exactly which single-endorsement test to drill next.
What to expect on the real CDL knowledge test
At the licensing office you take the General Knowledge test plus a separate test for each endorsement you need, all multiple choice, with a passing mark around 80% in most states. The questions come from the federal Commercial Driver License Manual, so the topics are consistent nationwide even though the exact number of questions and the passing count can vary slightly by state. After you pass the knowledge tests you move on to the skills test, which includes a pre-trip inspection, basic vehicle control, and an on-road drive in the class of vehicle you intend to operate.
Because every commercial driver starts with General Knowledge, weight your study there first, then layer on the endorsements your job requires. Practicing a mixed test like this one keeps all of that material fresh at once, which is closer to how the real testing day feels than studying a single topic in isolation.
